I’m finally back! This recovery phase has been slow &
long but thank God that my energy levels are almost up to speed. I want to
share something with you today:
When I was a pre-teen I heard a preacher share that we
should bless our wombs and our future children. She said that we should speak out
everything that we hope for our children.
So I started doing this since then. I normally put my hands over my
tummy and speak words of love, peace, prosperity & greatness over my future
kids. So as you can imagine, the day that
the oncologist told us that I might become sterile as a result of the
chemotherapy, I was completely devastated.
I remember that Chris (my husband) & I left the doctor’s office and
went to our car and sat there for a long time. We cried and cried and we also
prayed. Just three months before I was
diagnosed, Chris & I started trying to have our first child.
The oncologist referred us to an REI so the following week
we visited her office. She confirmed that the type of chemotherapy I was going
to have could cause infertility. She gave us 4 or 5 options, from donor eggs to
freezing embryos. We had to make a decision in 3 days. I was a mess at her office. All of this was so overwhelming and I am not
the best at making decisions.
Thank God that my parents were with us the entire time we
went through so many dificulties. My dad
was the man of God, the father, and the covering that God sent to our home
during all of those hard days. He was
not only there with us the entire time, but he guided us with the Word of God in
hand. He sat us down that night and showed us a verse where it says that
whatever decision we make and put it in God’s hands, he will bless it &
support it because He loves us. So Chris & I talked to God about it separately.
We asked Him to tell us what to do.
I knew that the safest route for us to have children (due to
the circumstances) would be to freeze embryos before I started the chemotherapy. I didn’t feel pressured because I knew that
God was going to support & bless the decision we would make. And when I talked to God about it, I felt
really strong one way. Since He was
going to bless our decision & since He was in control anyway, I would trust
Him to give us children without any other intervention, except His. I know that my decision sounds cray cray but
I am so confident that He supports this & I feel so much peace about it. So a couple of days later, I asked Chris to
tell me what God had told him about it.
And to my amazement, God told Chris the same thing He told me!
Additionally He told Chris to pray & confess every single day health over
me. This was a confirmation. We didn’t
even think about it again. We made the decision right there. We gave it to God
& sealed it. It was a done deal.
In my past I’ve had random people tell me that I wasn’t
going to be able to have children. And
I even entertained those thoughts. The
Devil has worked really hard in this area of my life for a reason. I think about all of this now and I see how
the Devil hates my children already.
I’ve been speaking greatness over them since I was a little girl &
the Devil already feels threaten. Ha! They will be powerful men & women of
God!
I wanted to share this because God has been sharing with me
that there are some areas of our lives where the Devil has worked really hard
since we were a kids. He wants to shut us down. He wants to push us out. He
wants us to be afraid and he has deceived us.
He’s worked really hard in those areas because that’s where our
greatness lies. Rick Bezet said once:
“Right where you are afraid is usually where you have the most anointing.” I
just hope you feel encouraged as I feel encouraged. Greatness lies ahead!
debíamos bendecir nuestros vientres y a nuestros futuros hijos.
iba a poder tener hijos. Yo misma entretuve esos pensamientos.
aun hayan nacido). Yo he estado hablando
siento animada. Lo mejor esta por venir!
